The Reality: On Saturday, August 16, Rick Warren had the opportunity to interview Barack Obama and John McCain on the role of the presidency in government, leadership, the candidates' worldviews, and America's role internationally.

Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them.

Dealing with Hypocrisy

The Reality: Christians do and have done horrible things in the name of God. Be it wars, stripping people of their land or resources, the fall of tele-evangelists, heinous actions like this one, or other instances where walk and talk don't match, those bearing the name Christian are, all too often, not Christ-like.

The Thought: It's not uncommon to hear people identify the failings of Christians as their ultimate reason for disregarding Christianity ...
