The Reality: P.Z. Myers, one of the evolutionary biologists who was expelled from expelled, recently engaged in an act of mass desecration that involved a rusty nail, a consecrated communion wafer, a banana peel, coffee grounds, and pages from both the Koran and Richard Dawkins' book, The God Delusion. His point, "Nothing must be held sacred."
The Thought: Having read Myers' blogs on both this issue and the Expelled caper, I'm not sure what's more offensive, his "great desecration", or his lack of interest in actual dialogue with people who hold differing views.
